January 2013
Aquinas Institute of Theology’s program “Where Faith Meets Life” will be held on Tuesday, January 15, at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel, 7730 Bonhomme, in Clayton. Lunch begins at :30am and the program begins at noon. This program is a conversation between Sister Carla Mae Street and Bishop Howard Nelson about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The annual World Religions Day program will be held at the Baha’i Center at 30 W. Lockwood Ave. in Webster Groves on Saturday, January 19 at 7pm. See calendar entry for more details.
The 30th Annual Aquinas Lecture will be held on Sunday, January 27th, at 3pm in the St. Francis Xavier Church Ballroom on the Saint Louis University campus (Grand and Lindell). The Lecture “Toward the True and Holy: Catholic Engagement with Islam Today” will be presented by Dr. Sandra Keating of Providence College in Rhode Island. Dr. Ghazala Hayat, professor at Saint Louis University’s Medical School, will give a Muslim response. See calendar entry for more details.

53rd meeting of St. Louis’ Dialogue Group of the World’s Religions and PHilosophies will be held on Wednesday, April 10th, from 7pm to 9pm in the Wool Ballroom of the Busch Student Center at Saint Louis University. Representatives of different religions will discuss their views of God. See calendar entry for more details.

Lunch begins at 11:30am and the program begins at noon. This program is a conversation with Sister Carla Mae Street and Michael Tsichlis, a Greek Orthodox expert, about the relationship of the Catholic Church and the Greek Orthodox Church.
