Dialogue Groups
The following is a list of the Dialogue Groups currently available in the metro area. Please note that Interfaith Dialogue comes in many different formats: we have monthly discussion groups but also bigger, less frequent events that feature presentations and panel discussions.
We are pleased to create more groups when demand and leadership are available. Please notify the Interfaith Dialogue Committee Chair if you are interested in one of these groups, or in a dialogue group at a different time, different location, etc. Rabbi Mark Shook is available via email at mshook@ti-stl.org. Please note that we help connect users to groups, but not all groups are sponsored by nor were they created by Interfaith Partnership.
Our quarterly dialogue publication is now available.

Monday Night Interfaith Dialogue Group — Monthly
This interfaith dialogue group meets on Monday evenings, the last Monday of each month, and rotates home to home. It is perhaps the longest-running dialogue group. We can connect you to members of this group if you are interested.
St. Louis Dialogue Group of the World’s Religions and Philosophies
This dialogue group is in a larger group setting, beginning with a panel discussion and then breaking into smaller discussion groups. Originally held at Christian Brothers College High School, it is now held at St. Louis University under the guidance of Professor David Oughton, a longtime member of Interfaith Partnership. 2012 dates include the March 28 (discussing women in various religions) and November 7 (discussing different religions’ perspectives on God). Group is held at the Wool Ballroom of the Busch Student Center at St. Louis University.
Aquinas Institute Noon Hour Group
This noon hour group, scheduled to allow students to join, meets 7 times each in the fall and spring semesters. The group will reconvene in January 2013 on the campus at St. Louis University. Focusing on textual dialogue, this group examines passages from the Torah, Psalms, gospels and Koran, often delighting in similarities despite the excerpts not being selected with this in mind. Those who come are invited to bring a lunch and park around the Aquinas Institute and in the nearby garage. This page includes directions to Aquinas Institute.
Women’s Interfaith Conference
This yearly event occurs in the spring, when women of all faiths are invited to join in a day of panel discussions and small-group dialogues, with presenters varying each year to illuminate different faiths. The 2012 event was held on Wednesday, April 18th, at Congregation B’nai Amoona. We will announce next year’s event once it has been confirmed.
